Verbania, day 2
Today Lorenzo and I drove up along the lake to Switzerland and then back and up a mountain to get a view of the lakes. This evening we had dinner and another group of relatives came over and we sat around the kitchen table talking to almost 10. There is much more family orientation here in Italia in the country. The kitchen is the most used room in the house. Lorenzo said his goodbys tonight and hopes to visit Santa Barbara one day. Tomorrow is a day to drive around the lakeside and into the mountains since I leave for Diano d'Alba Wednesday morning. There is difinitely a diet somewhere in my future.
The Fiat 500 is the car people buy to impress their friends and it drives like a sports car especially along windy mountain roads.

The photos are magnificent - would definitely love to see that part of Italy and meet the "family".
